Prior to starting Stellar Career College, I had my high school diploma and had only taken a few courses at MJC. My employment history consisted of cashiering and customer service type jobs. I came for a free software class the school was offering and after that I realized that I needed to get more education for the types of job I wanted to do. Needed a change in my life, so I decided to go back to school to learn new skills, in the Administrative Assistant II program. I gained more knowledge in Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint. My typing speed went from 30wpm to 40wpm during my time here.With the guidance of all the wonderful teachers, I was able to gain the necessary tools to work as a substitute office clerk in Modesto City schools. One year ago today, was my first day of school at Computer Tutor (now Stellar). And today, May 15th, was my first day on the job in the permanent, full-time position of Typist Clerk II Translator.

Thank you to all the teachers and office staff at Stellar. And a special thanks to Yolanda and Vic, for giving me that little push I needed, to pursue my dreams. Forever grateful for my time at Stellar Career College.
